Labyrinth
in Sonoma
Trinity Episcopal Church
On a trip to Sonoma, I ran across this labyrinth. It is a beautiful redwood clearing in front of the Trinity Episcopal Church (275 East Spain Street, Sonoma, CA), right near the Plaza. This is the third labyrinth I have walked.
I stumbled across this one but I had heard of it before from this website. They claim it is a 9-circuit labyrinth and the design is from the 13th century from the Chapter House in the Cathedral at Bayeux, France. It was installed in 1999. The Bayeux Labyrinth is a 10-circuit labyrinth but could easily be made into a 9-circuit one.
It is interesting that this is another Episcopalian church with a labyrinth. I am thinking it might be a trend. I might have to look at the Episcopalians and see what they are up to.
